Scheepshistorie is een periodieke uitgave die in nauwe samenwerking met de Maritieme Musea in Nederland tot stand wordt gebracht. Het eerste nummer verscheen in 2004. De artikelen in Scheepshistorie beslaan een periode vanaf de vroege zestiende eeuw tot heden en betreffen zowel zeevaart als binnenvaart in alle mogelijke toepassingen waaronder: koopvaardij, marine, visserij, recreatie, offshore en aanverwante maritieme zaken. Ook maritiem gerelateerde onderwerpen zoals navigatie-instrumenten, bakens en vuurtorens, werven en bedrijfsinstallaties voor overslag komen van tijd tot tijd aan de orde. De auteurs van Scheepshistorie zijn specialisten in hun vakgebied: historici, museumconservators, geschiedschrijvers, en scheepsbouwkundigen.
